As your company grows you will need to requite new team members, in this post we cover the interview process more specifically interview electrician, why electricians?
Well a lot of our customers are business owners and Electrics is not their first language so to speak, in addition to this I believe as electrical contractors you should be looking to grow your engineering team to span multiple skill sets. before growing your admin team after all without engineers their would be no electrical contractors.

Once your projects are consistently profitable, expand your office staff to support long term growth.
To start with we will first cove the interview structure

Think about the position you are hiring for, if it is a specialist position, managers or co workers might not have the knowledge in the candidates specialisation, ask how they would present info to the uninitiated.
Think about projects ask how they would plan/ time manage to meet deadlines
Look for short falls in the CV that will stop them immediately fulfilling their role **can training be provided**
What qualities do you need the candidate to have
Have 4-5 questions specific to their skills reported in the CV.
Know your candidate, look them up.
Interview structure

Role specific questions

Offer the candidate a chance to ask questions.
Indicators of a bad candidate could be if they ask questions that are easily answered on the company website, this indicates that the candidate has shown no interest in the company before the interview.
